Privacy policy

This site collects as little as it can get away with. No analytics, no profiling, no advertising, no newsletters. What it does process is described here in full.

Data controller

Contact form

When you use the form, the site processes your name, email address, the topic you selected, your message, and the country your request came from. Purpose: answering you. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to a possible engagement (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, for general enquiries, legitimate interest in replying to correspondence.

Delivery: messages are transmitted through Resend, Inc., on its European infrastructure (Ireland), and arrive in the controller's mailbox. Should delivery fail, the message is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure until read. Retention: up to 24 months, then automatic deletion.

Showreel access

The showreel is protected because most of it is covered by non-disclosure agreements. Access is by personal code, and the code is named after its recipient. When a code is used, the site records the code name, the date and time, the country of the connection, and whether the video was actually played. No IP address is stored in this log. Purpose: protecting confidential material and knowing which recipient viewed the reel. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Retention: 12 months, then automatic deletion.

Watching the reel sets one strictly necessary session cookie, described in the cookie policy.

Bot protection

The forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical connection data, including the IP address, for the sole purpose of telling people from automated scripts. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which processes technical connection logs as any host does, acting as a processor.

Recipients and transfers

Data is handled by Cloudflare, Inc. and, for email delivery, by Resend, Inc., both companies established in the United States, on the basis of the applicable safeguards for extra-EU transfers (adequacy decision and/or standard contractual clauses). Email is processed on Resend's European infrastructure, in Ireland. [To be verified during professional review.]

Your rights

You can request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to contact@dariobonito.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
